Lisa Nebenzahl | Elusive Photography
Lisa Nebenzahl is a Minneapolis based photographic artist. Her work ponders themes of fragility and resilience, loss and persistence and the passage of time. These metaphors are explored using shadow, light and manipulation – working with the natural world of plants, flowers, water and sky and the imprints made by their tenuous presence. Her interest in working with such imagery affirms the beauty of change and is a reminder of the temporal condition, embracing the interplay of chance and surprise that happens when observing and responding to the natural world.
Lisa exhibits her work nationally, most recently showing at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Boston and she is a two-time recipient of the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative grant.
