Mary Pow is a designer and textile artist living and working in Minneapolis. Formally educated in architecture, Mary has been working with textiles since 2011.
Using her considerable design and sewing skills, Mary crafts modern handbags and accessories using linen and cotton fabrics. Under the name MinneBites, Mary creates a line of whimsical children’s bags and cases. Most recently, Mary has expanded her endeavors and is creating abstract textile art for the contemporary home.
Mary’s modern, clean, and colorful aesthetic has brought attention to her work. In 2017 she received the Award of Excellence in booth design at the American Craft Council Show in St. Paul. Additionally, her ferociously fun MinneBites pencil cases in shapes such as sharks and bugs are well loved throughout the world. They have been featured on websites such as Buzzfeed, Real Simple, and Apartment Therapy, as well as in magazines such as Us Weekly.
