Susan Stone

Susan Stone

Susan Stone is a wife, mother, photographer, artist, traveler and an observer.

When Susan started her photography career, she knew that she wanted to take her images further than the click of a shutter so she built a darkroom in her home and explored her creativity under a red light and the smell of chemicals.

When digital photography arrived on the scene, Susan came out of the dark and into the world of pixels and possibilities.

Today, Susan creates magical images using all the skills that she has developed through the years.  She uses digital layers to add texture, color and contrast. All of her layers are created from photos or mixed media paintings.  Her work is a back and forth process as many of her digital images have layers of her paintings and her paintings may include her digital images.
